At Gannon Legal, I understand that being charged with a criminal or traffic offence can be one of the most stressful experiences a person will face. My role is to provide clear advice, practical guidance and strong representation, ensuring every client is treated with dignity, respect and professionalism.
With more than 25 years of experience in the criminal justice system, I have appeared in courts throughout Victoria, representing clients across a broad range of criminal and traffic matters. I am committed to achieving the best possible outcome in every case through careful preparation, skilled advocacy and honest advice.
Experience from both sides of the courtroom
Before establishing Gannon Legal, I built an extensive career as a Police Prosecutor, conducting prosecutions across a wide range of criminal and traffic matters in the Magistrates' Court of Victoria. This experience provided me with a detailed understanding of how prosecutions are investigated, prepared and presented, and the considerations that influence prosecutorial decision-making.
In addition to appearing regularly in court, I was responsible for training and mentoring police prosecutors and delivering legal education to police members. I also provided training to lawyers and other legal professionals on criminal law, evidence and court advocacy.
Today, I draw on that experience to provide strategic advice and effective representation for people facing criminal charges. Understanding how a prosecution is developed enables me to identify issues in the evidence, assess the strengths and weaknesses of a case and develop practical strategies to protect my clients' interests.
